Review(ish) - I Am Happy Because Everyone Loves Me

Post-Typhoon Mini Review

I'm making this post to keep up with my weekly review series but, Saipan, the island where I live, was struck by Super Typhoon Sinlaku this past week and we're still in recovery mode here, so this is going to be a very short one. My family is fortunate that, while we had some flooding in our house from a broken window, we were able to clean up quickly, and we're doing OK now with water service restored to our village and a generator we can run parts of the day.

But many people are not doing as well as we are right now, and we're going to be busy trying to help out where we can around other places. If you, dear reader, would like to help, the Micronesia Climate Change Alliance is one reputable group accepting donations right now.

The Review

This week, I just want to highlight I Am Happy Because Everyone Loves Me, a system-neutral pamphlet by Xiaofang.

This thing is so cool!

The pamphlet describes a giant, interdimensional, three-eyed cat, including: a keyed map of its cave lair, which will magically appear when it visits; instructions on how to roleplay and use it in your game; and a table of magical items you can get as gifts, all of which are excellent.

What I really love about this is that it's explicitly non-combat. This is a weird, powerful character who can show up to make things interesting and change up your game world. I think we need more things like this!
